I. Core Configuration & Performance
1. Flight Controller & ESC
The Air65 is outfitted with the new Air brushless flight controller (5-in-1), which uses an advanced G473 processor. This marks a significant upgrade over the F411 used in the Meteor65, boasting stronger computing power and faster response times. Weighing just 3.6g, it integrates the flight controller (FC), ESC, OSD, video transmitter (VTX), and receiver (RX) into a compact structure—simplifying setup and maintenance while striking a perfect balance between performance and lightweight design.
It’s equipped with the industry-leading ICM42688P gyroscope and a custom micro OSD chip, ensuring smoother control and more responsive handling. With multiple UART ports for flexible function expansion, it seamlessly adapts to both racing and freestyle FPV scenarios, delivering extremely precise control.

2. Upgraded Air Canopy
Paired with the lightweight C03 FPV micro camera (only 1.45g), it captures high-definition, clear, and sharp images. The canopy structure has been redesigned to be more flexible, impact-resistant, and durable: its enhanced bending capability boosts flexibility, reduces breakage risks, and significantly improves crash resistance, making installation easier. It’s compatible with various micro and nano analog cameras, supporting angle adjustments from 25° to 50°—letting the Air65 push limits in freestyle flights and stay focused on victory in races.
3. Propulsion System
Whether in the Racing or Freestyle version, the Air65 maintains agility, easily conquering race tracks to meet the needs of different pilots:
- The Racing Version focuses on high-speed and highly agile flight. It uses the 0702SE II|27000KV motor and GF 1219S 3B Props, delivering incredible speed bursts and nimble turns.
- The Freestyle Version pursues a smooth, elegant flying experience. It features the 0702SE II|23000KV motor and HQ 31mm Ultralight 3B Props, ensuring timely responses and precise maneuvering.
This combination allows the Air65 to break through limitations in speed and maneuverability.

4. Battery & Connection
The ultra-light LAVA 1S 260/300mAh battery is custom-built for the Air65: its more concentrated center of gravity enables sharper responses, stronger acceleration, and better maneuverability. It uses an innovative Z-folding process, exceeding traditional capacity and discharge thresholds. Equipped with a BT2.0 U Cable Pigtail, it eliminates cable folding issues—making plugging/unplugging easier and extending service life. Shortening the pigtail length reduces weight, making it the ultimate lightweight choice for drone racing or freestyle flights.
5. Air65 Frame
To enhance the flying experience, DIY enthusiasts have worked hard to reduce the weight of 65mm whoop drones—especially optimizing frames for an ultra-light structure. The Meteor65 micro frame has been upgraded to the Air65 frame, slashing weight from 3.64g to an impressive 2.67g while retaining excellent strength and durability. It adds a new motor fixing slot and features an optimized low-profile design. With 6 color options, it’s undoubtedly the top choice for pilots seeking an ultra-light (Sub18g) 65mm 1S whoop drone with personalized style.
II. Comparison of Air65 Champion, Air65, and Meteor65
The Air65 Champion weighs 17.4g (±0.15g), while the Air65 is 17.3g and the Meteor65 is 22.8g—all sharing a 65mm wheelbase.
In terms of structure, both the Air65 Champion and Air65 use the Air65 Frame and Air Canopy, whereas the Meteor65 features the Meteor65 Micro Frame and the Canopy for Micro Camera 2022.
For flight control and ESC, the Air65 Champion and Air65 are equipped with the Air Brushless Flight Controller (5-in-1), while the Meteor65 uses either the F4 1S 5A FC (Serial ELRS 2.4G) or F4 1S 5A FC (SPI Frsky).
The Air65 Champion and Air65 have an onboard 5.8G 25mw~400mw VTX, unlike the Meteor65’s M03 VTX. All three models use the C03 camera.
Motor specifications differ: the Air65 Champion has the 0702 II|3000KV (dual ball bearings); the Air65’s Racing Version uses the 0702SE II|27000KV (brass bushings) and the Freestyle Version uses the 0702SE II|23000KV (brass bushings); the Meteor65 is fitted with the 0802SE|19500KV (brass bushings).
Propellers vary too: the Air65 Champion and Air65 Racing Version use GF 1219S 3B props; the Air65 Freestyle Version uses HQ 31mm Ultralight 3B props; the Meteor65 uses GF 31mm 3B props.
Both the Air65 Champion and Air65 have a BT2.0 U Cable Pigtail, while the Meteor65 uses a BT2.0 connector. Recommended batteries are LAVA 1S 260/300mAh for the first two, and BT2.0 300mAh 30C or LAVA 1S 300mAh for the Meteor65. All offer a 4-minute flight time (at 4.35V-3.3V) with their respective recommended batteries.
Receiver versions include onboard ELRS 2.4G RX for the Air65 Champion and Air65, and ELRS/Frsky/TBS for the Meteor65. Motor screws are PEEK for the Air65 Champion and steel for the other two.

III. Features
- It’s a 1S 65mm indoor whoop, available in both Racing and Freestyle versions, weighing just 17.1g for an exciting, agile flying experience.
