The Explorer LR 4 V2.2 HD Wasp combines a four-inch airframe with RunCam's Link Wasp digital FPV system. This is the Wasp configuration of the Explorer family; its camera and video hardware differ from the O3 and O4 models carrying the same Explorer name.
The long, narrow arms, two-blade propellers and compact central stack give it a different layout from a five-inch freestyle build. It suits pilots choosing a small aircraft for deliberate cruising and lightweight camera work, with the final battery and accessory combination planned as part of the purchase.
The published aircraft weight is 162.8g without a battery. A sub-250g build therefore depends on what is added: the pack, receiver choice and any recording camera all count. The scale photograph cannot establish the weight of another completed configuration.
Flywoo lists several 4S XT30 battery choices and an Explorer 18650 pack. They are alternatives with different physical sizes and weights. A larger capacity does not preserve the same takeoff mass, and the product description does not supply a measured endurance result for every combination.
The Wasp build lists a GOKU GN405 Nano 13A stack, NIN 1404 V2 2750KV motors and Gemfan 4024 two-blade propellers. The V2.2 Wasp aircraft uses the Explorer LR 4 V2 HD frame kit. The frame designation matters when buying spares; it does not turn this Wasp model into the separate O3 or O4 aircraft.
The close view shows the camera between the front plates, the battery strap above the body and the GPS near the rear. Use those positions to judge packing clearance and access, rather than treating the image as a drawing with measured dimensions.
The listed receiver routes include DJI, ELRS 2.4 GHz, FrSky R-XSR and TBS Crossfire. Match the ordered receiver to the transmitter you already own. The RunCam Link Wasp name identifies the video system, not every possible control receiver.
An SMO 4K power cable is listed with this model. A cable does not include the recording camera or establish the weight and fit of another camera. Allow space for the intended mount and battery before committing to that combination.
