BOB57: a six-inch platform for camera-carrying flights

Developed with Ellis van Jason, the iFlight BOB57 combines a six-inch H-frame with a DJI O3 Air Unit. Its long centre section, front-mounted XT60 connection and action-camera mounting positions distinguish it from a small freestyle quad. This is the 6S O3 version.

The frame is described as a middle ground between five- and seven-inch formats. That positioning explains the design; it is not a measured claim that one aircraft outperforms both sizes.

A closer look at the layout

Centre section: The extended backbone provides battery space. The original listing names packs up to 3000mAh 6S; actual fit still depends on pack dimensions and the camera installation.
Front connection: The XT60 is positioned at the front. A USB-C camera-power cable is also in the accessory list; confirm the camera's input requirements before using it.
Protective shell: The Gladiator shell covers the electronics against incidental dust and droplets. No waterproof rating is provided, so this is not an all-weather specification.

Choose the radio version

The original options are DJI PNP, TBS Crossfire and ELRS 2.4GHz. “PNP” should not be read as including a separate receiver or a complete radio-and-goggles kit.

A flight battery and action camera are not listed as included. Send the exact transmitter, goggles and camera model when checking a complete order.

About the published flight-time figure

The published specification quotes approximately nine minutes with a 3000mAh 6S LiPo, but does not provide a complete flight log, camera load or weather conditions. Treat that as an attributed configuration example, not an endurance guarantee for another battery or filming setup.
