A visible-light zoom payload for detailed drone observation
The Viewpro Z36T Cube suits UAV projects that need a steerable, close inspection view while retaining Full HD video. Its 36x optical lens and Sony IMX385 sensor address a different requirement from a wide-angle flight camera: examining a roof joint, an insulator or another visible feature within a larger scene. Select it around the required detail, available payload capacity and video interface.

Choose it for visible details
A 6–216mm optical lens changes framing before the image reaches the display. This can help an operator move between scene context and a narrower inspection view. The final readable detail still depends on distance, atmospheric conditions, focus and aircraft vibration.
Consider another sensor for heat
Z36T Cube is an EO camera. Its low-light imaging functions do not provide thermal temperature measurements. For a job that must locate hot electrical components or compare surface temperatures, start with an appropriate thermal or dual-sensor payload.
Specify the video connection before the camera package
The manufacturer's table lists HDMI, IP and SDI output configurations. An HDMI transmitter, a network decoder and an SDI input require different connections. State which version your aircraft accepts; the list is not a promise that every connector is fitted to one unit.

Match camera movement to the inspection task
The three-axis gimbal separates camera pointing from aircraft orientation. For an inspection crew, this makes it useful to define who commands pan, tilt and zoom before choosing controls. A pilot maintaining the aircraft position and a second operator reading the image have different interface needs from a single-person flight.
Continuous pan is version-dependent. Viewpro associates continuous yaw with the IP version, while other listed configurations have bounded pan travel. If repeated panoramic observation is important, include that requirement in the quotation instead of assuming all Z36T Cube units rotate continuously.

Questions buyers ask
Does the largest zoom figure describe optical magnification? The optical lens is 36x. Digital enlargement is listed separately and should not be treated as additional optical detail. Compare the required image at the intended working distance rather than choosing only the largest combined zoom number.
Will the supplied image look equally stable on every aircraft? Gimbal stabilization is one part of the installation. The damping assembly, mounting rigidity and aircraft vibration also affect the result. Request an installation review or a sample relevant to your platform if image steadiness is a purchase criterion.
Which payload weight should I use? Viewpro lists 930g and 992g for different mounting versions. Confirm the selected mount and the complete installed assembly, including damping, cables and adapters, when allocating the UAV payload budget.
