Sector D5: the camera end, covered bay and top deck

The Sector D5 has a distinctive side profile: a red camera surround at the front, broad “Sector” coverings along the centre and an antenna rising from the rear. The two original views show how these parts sit around the four-arm airframe and its top battery area.

About “HD Version1”: the catalogue label is retained, but no manufacturer build record in the available material maps it to Vista or O3. This page explains the illustrated airframe; it does not identify the digital video system or electrical revision of a supplied HD Version1 unit.

A separate camera end

The camera sits between the red side structures, ahead of the covered centre. In this view, its round lens and surrounding frame are easy to distinguish from the dark bay behind it. The front propellers sit to either side of that assembly.

The Sector side coverings

The broad panels run below the top battery area, with the “Sector” lettering facing outward. The panels also hide the central electronics. That matters when identifying an HD aircraft: the Sector lettering is visible, but the video transmitter and stack labels behind it are not. An outside view cannot settle the Vista/O3 choice.

The top battery area

The central top surface and straps sit between the front camera and rear antenna support. With the battery absent, the shape of this area remains visible from end to end. Four arms extend from the centre, each carrying a motor and three-blade propeller.

The rear module position

A square, ceramic-faced module sits just ahead of the rear antenna. Its location is consistent with the GPS placement described in the older listing. Both rear components remain visible above the deck, separate from the covered central electronics.

Understanding the older component names

The archived specification identifies the Sector D5 FR airframe and five-inch propellers. Its video list includes analog, Caddx Vista and DJI O3 alternatives. These represent different viewing arrangements within the family, rather than three devices supplied together.

The record also uses SPECTER F760 and F722 terminology at different levels: F760 is a stack designation, while F722 refers to the controller or processor context. Keeping these names separate makes the older description easier to read without treating them as competing model names.
