The 4S CL2-Air: plug-in motors, configurable video

This CL2-Air is the five-inch, 4S version built around MR30 quick connections and Hypetrain Freestyle V2 motors. The practical attraction is access to the motor and stack connections without turning every replacement into a soldering job. It is not a promise that every electrical part uses a plug.

The swept-back front arms and camera-mount choices give the Air its own layout within the CL2 family. Keep this page's 4S specification separate from the 6S version when comparing motors, ordering parts or discussing a replacement aircraft.

Where the connection system helps

Motors and stack
The named Hypetrain motors and T-Motor stack use MR30 quick connectors. Order the connector-equipped replacement, not a similarly named loose-wire motor.
Receiver wiring
Ghost, Crossfire and ELRS receiver repairs may still involve soldering. Select the radio protocol with your existing transmitter in mind.
Camera mounting
The video package determines whether the build uses the CL2-Air or CL2 Standard camera mount. Camera angle also changes what appears at the edge of the picture.

O3 or Avatar HD: The listing pairs DJI O3 and Avatar V2 Pro/Micro options with the CL2-Air mount.
RunCam Link: The Wasp HD camera and Link transmitter are listed with the CL2 Standard mount.
Analog: The Aura camera and X2 Ultimate transmitter also use the Standard mount. Some standoff visibility is noted for this arrangement.

Goggles compatibility follows the chosen video system. DJI, FrSky, Ghost, Crossfire and ELRS are receiver options in the original configuration list, not a claim that any radio will bind to any delivered build.

What “built and tuned” covers

The product is offered as an assembled and tuned build. That description does not identify the firmware version, receiver binding state or settings on an individual unit. Ask for the supplied configuration and tune backup with the aircraft, particularly if changing the video package.

The build list includes the frame, stack, four motors, black Kwad Skidz and HQ Juicy J37 propellers. It does not establish that a flight battery, charger, radio or goggles are included. For a different frame size, see the other Rotor Riot models.
