Flight-control hardware · Civil multirotors
The SKYDROID S3 is a compact avionics controller for a civil drone project that needs a defined connection set and a manufacturer-supported ground-station workflow. Its listed hardware combines an STM32H743 processor, a BMI088 inertial sensor and an MS5611 barometer. Those components describe the controller board; the aircraft's usable performance also depends on the selected navigation equipment, installation and configuration.

The S3 manual identifies 3–8-axis multirotors, unmanned vehicles and unmanned vessels. For aerial work, begin with the actual multirotor frame and the equipment already selected. A camera inspection build and an agricultural aircraft may share a controller name while requiring different navigation modules, power arrangements and cables.
Do not select S3 solely because another SKYDROID controller looks similar. S3-A is separately described as a custom APM firmware product. Tell FD which software environment your team expects, so the quotation identifies the appropriate controller rather than treating the two versions as interchangeable.
| Equipment group | S3 connections to review | Selection question |
|---|---|---|
| Outputs and control input | 12 PWM outputs; SBUS input and output | Which actuators and receiver belong in this build? |
| Navigation | GPS connection and compass connection | Which supplied module and harness are required? |
| Data and accessories | Two data interfaces, two CAN interfaces and Type-C | Which telemetry and accessory devices must be connected? |
The specification also identifies an obstacle-avoidance interface. An interface on the controller does not mean that a sensor is included or that every third-party sensor is supported. Include the exact peripheral names with an enquiry, particularly when retaining equipment from an existing aircraft.

The POWER input is listed as 2S–18S, while the USB and servo entries are 5 V ±0.3 V. These are separate electrical specifications. Request the correct power wiring and connector assignment for the supplied revision; a battery range should never be copied onto every socket in a product comparison.
The manual presents navigation options separately, including an optional directional module. Ask for the selected controller and navigation combination, with its matching leads, instead of assuming that every item in a product illustration is standard equipment.
The S3 instructions describe SKYDROID FLY GCS. State your existing ground controller and application so the intended version and support arrangement can be checked before ordering.
Send the frame type, available installation space, navigation requirement and peripheral list. Add the number of units, delivery destination and whether you need the controller alone or a complete wiring and navigation package.
