Ground-station antenna selection
SKYDROID AT1400 is a directional panel antenna for the control, telemetry and video link of a compatible drone system. The manufacturer's manual describes outdoor use with a tripod. It is passive antenna hardware, not a transmitter, receiver or camera, so the useful comparison begins with the radio band, connector arrangement and physical support.

The listed frequency range is 1428–1458 MHz. Ask whether that range matches the actual radio version proposed for the project.
The manual identifies an SMA interface. Confirm the supplied connector and cable pairing from the actual equipment details.
The antenna has a listed mass of 1.4 kg and a threaded mounting provision. Include a suitable support and connection accessories in the package request.
The specification gives a gain of 13.9 dBi with horizontal and vertical beamwidths of 34.5° and 38.6° respectively. Gain describes an antenna characteristic; it is not a guaranteed link distance or a multiplier that can be applied to every transmitter's range claim. A directional panel has a different coverage pattern from a general-purpose rod antenna.
For selection, tell FD which ground radio and civil UAV task are involved. A stationary inspection workstation and a compact handheld arrangement have different physical requirements. The antenna, cable, support and matched radio should be identified as a combination rather than purchased solely on the largest gain number.
| Polarization | Dual polarization: vertical and horizontal |
|---|---|
| Input impedance | 50 Ω |
| Listed dimensions | 338.98 × 62.2 × 309.22 mm |
| Mechanical support | 1/4-inch–20 UNC threaded mounting provision |
| Environmental entry | IP65 in the manufacturer specification |

AT1400 does not supply an aircraft-side receiver, video encoder or ground display. It also does not establish compatibility with another frequency family. List the transmitting and receiving equipment already in the project so the proposed panel can be checked against those components.
The source provides antenna ratings separately from radio-system performance. This page does not convert a maximum input-power entry into transmitted power, or combine antenna gain with an unsupported distance promise. Request the intended regional radio configuration and the correct mating hardware for the destination market.
The manual describes a tripod-oriented directional panel and lists a 1.4 kg mass. Compare the intended support and ground equipment before selecting it for a portable station.
Check the actual operating band and connector arrangement. A broad radio-family label alone does not define the complete frequency range or mating interface.
Provide the radio and receiver models, intended civil application, available support and required cable arrangement. Ask for the antenna, mounting parts and leads to be separately identified, together with confirmation of the supplied configuration.
