CL2: an assembled five-inch aircraft for your existing FPV equipment

The built-and-tuned CL2 takes the frame, motors and flight electronics off the assembly list. Choose its video system and receiver to work with your own goggles and transmitter. The aircraft package does not include a complete set of ground equipment, flight batteries and charger.

Rotor Riot offers separate 4S and 6S CL2 builds. The component set described here is the 6S configuration with Vanover 2207 V2 1860KV motors. A shared CL2 frame does not make the 4S and 6S electrical configurations interchangeable.

Equipment to have ready

A compatible transmitter, matching FPV goggles, an appropriate 6S flight battery and a suitable charger complete the personal equipment list. Buying an assembled aircraft saves build work; pairing and setup still depend on the equipment you bring to it.

Where solder-free helps

The T-Motor stack uses MR30 quick connectors with the compatible motors. This changes the work involved in replacing those connected components. It does not mean every electrical joint anywhere in the aircraft uses a plug.

Rotor Riot specifically lists Ghost, Crossfire and ELRS receiver repairs as requiring soldering. Keep that distinction when planning tools or buying a spare receiver. A connector on the motor circuit cannot establish the connection used by the radio receiver.

Start with the exact goggle system name, then specify the control receiver. This keeps the two selections clear on a CL2 order. The DJI receiver option uses the supported DJI video hardware for control; choosing Ghost, Crossfire or ELRS requires the matching radio system instead.
