Combat FPV Drone Solution in Russia

Civil documentation reference — Evidence C

Agree the meaning before translating the conclusion

This Russia-titled record mentions several rounds of technical communication. Here the useful civil task is a shared terminology note; no Russian project, combat capability or customer endorsement is verified.

Two people can use the same English word and mean different things. Translation adds another opportunity for that mismatch, particularly when a short message leaves out the object being discussed. A small glossary can keep the conversation readable without attempting to replace a manual or provide technical instructions.

Start with the word actually supplied

Keep the source term exactly as written, including any abbreviation. Add the agreed term in the other working language beside it, not in place of it. If nobody has confirmed the translation, mark it as a proposed wording and keep the question open.

The ordinary terms “frame,” “motor,” “video transmission” and “technical support” appear in the earlier text. They can be discussion headings, but that text does not establish the part identifiers or a complete system to which they apply. This note does not translate military terms or turn those headings into equipment recommendations.

What belongs in a glossary entry?

The term pair
Original wording and the translation the participants have agreed to use.
The sentence around it
A short excerpt or message reference that shows the context. The same word may need a different explanation elsewhere.
The intended meaning
A brief plain-language explanation, including what the participants are not using the term to mean.
The unresolved point
A specific question and the person who can clarify it. Do not fill this field with a guessed definition.

Use a read-back, not an assumption

In a civil discussion, “support” might describe help from a service team or a physical support for an item. Ask which meaning is intended and repeat the agreed meaning in an ordinary sentence. This is a language check, not a test of the equipment.

If a document uses a more precise term, refer the participants to that document instead of making the informal glossary authoritative. Keep any safety-related instruction in its approved form and seek an appropriate translation or clarification rather than improvising one.

End the exchange with the terms that are agreed and the few questions that remain. The value of the note is shared understanding, not the appearance of technical certainty. A short, accurately bounded glossary is enough for the next conversation.
