Can DJI Goggles 3 Show a Laptop's HDMI Output?

DJI's Goggles 3 FAQ says the goggles have no HDMI port and do not support direct HDMI input or output. It also describes an outward relay to another display. That outward example does not establish a reverse route from a laptop into the goggles.

A photograph of a USB-C socket answers neither question. USB-IF's connector guidance distinguishes the connector from data protocols and power-delivery capabilities; implementations differ. Read the function specified for the actual device, rather than assigning every USB-C feature to every socket.

Keep these three requests separate

“Show my editing desktop.”

The laptop is the picture source and the goggles would be the display. For this direct HDMI request, the manufacturer's answer above is a stop, not an invitation to try progressively more adapters.

“Play an already exported video.”

DJI documents video playback from a memory card. That is a separate task from receiving the laptop's live desktop. Check the supported file requirements before preparing a copy; a familiar filename extension alone does not establish that the complete file is suitable.

“Connect a computer or supply power.”

The FAQ separately discusses computer connections and charging. Neither heading, by itself, says that the goggles behave as an external desktop monitor.

Correct the request, not just the cable name

Consider a fictional studio handover: an editor writes “USB-C adapter for goggles” beside a finished venue tour. The next person cannot tell whether the editor wants to inspect the editing interface or simply replay the finished film. Those outcomes require different evidence.

“I want the laptop's editing interface displayed inside the goggles. Please identify a documented video-input function for the exact viewing device; a computer-connection or charging description is not enough.”

If the real aim is offline viewing, rewrite the request around the exported file and its documented playback requirements. Do not carry the HDMI assumption into that new task. Conversely, showing that a file plays does not prove that a laptop desktop can be mirrored.

The useful result is a clear yes-or-no answer to one direction-specific display request. This example does not endorse an alternative adapter, promise another goggle model's compatibility, or describe a live aircraft setup.
