Read the card's identity before its biggest speed number
For a civilian FPV photography session, a buyer needs recording media that matches the actual goggles, not a card advertised as simply fast. DJI Goggles 3 provides a useful documented example. This is a purchasing comparison, not a card test or a compatibility statement for an unnamed drone on this website.
The official Goggles 3 manual (v1.0, April 2024, page 37) specifies microSD cards up to 512 GB. Its recommendations include Kingston Canvas Go! Plus 128GB U3 A2 V30 microSDXC. Read that as one named, capacity-specific entry; do not shorten it to any card from the same brand.

- Physical format
- microSD identifies the small card format. A full-size SD card with similar numbers is not the specified physical card.
- Capacity
- 128 GB is below this device's stated ceiling. That alone does not establish the rest of the match.
- Speed-class marks
- Keep U3 and V30 in the comparison rather than replacing them with a retailer's headline transfer rate. The recommended entry also carries A2; that is not the Video Speed Class mark.
Three offers, three different conclusions
The named 128 GB card matches an entry in the manual. Verify the actual item offered, including its capacity and full product designation, before treating the order as a match.
A different 128 GB microSDXC card marked U3 and V30 shares those stated attributes. It has not thereby become an entry on DJI's recommendation list. Seek device-specific confirmation rather than copying the first offer's conclusion.
The listing identifies a bus interface but leaves the required purchasing comparison incomplete. Ask for the exact card model and its marked speed classes; a large “up to” number does not supply those missing fields.
The SD Association distinguishes bus interfaces such as UHS-I from card performance. Its speed-class guidance concerns minimum sequential performance under defined conditions and advises matching the host's class-symbol family. Equal-looking rates across different class systems are not a substitute for that match.
A useful response to an incomplete offer
Illustrative buyer message: “The offer says 128 GB, UHS-I and a maximum transfer rate, but does not identify the full card model. Please provide the exact product designation and the marked classes. Our reference is the named device's recommendation list; we have not approved an unspecified substitute.”
