The title is visible; the empty canvas should not be
An editor receives a title graphic for an already recorded civilian FPV venue film. The words belong over the footage, but a white rectangle covers the scene around them. Before changing the edit, ask whether the delivered graphic actually contains transparent space.
Our invented title is “Venue walk-through.” It is not a client name or a brand logo. The drawings below explain the intended composition; they are HTML/CSS examples, not exported PNG files or Photoshop test results.
Separate the graphic from the backdrop
The small panel is intentionally opaque; only the surrounding area should reveal the lower image. Transparency does not require every pixel to disappear. A white canvas already included in the graphic would sit between the viewer and the footage instead of becoming empty space.
Keep the editable source and the delivery separate
Adobe's Photoshop format guidance distinguishes a layered PSD from a PNG output: the former preserves editing layers; the latter can retain transparency in RGB or grayscale images. Keep the title's editable source if wording may change. A transparent PNG is not a promise of editable text layers.
For this example, prepare the title with the surrounding area transparent, then use File > Export > Export As, choose PNG and allow transparency. Adobe documents that format-specific export option. Save the output separately from the source. Its Save a Copy guidance also distinguishes a saved copy from the original document; neither route should replace the only editable title file.

Check the received export, not only the source window
Open the actual delivered graphic in the intended editing application. Place it over two contrasting plain backgrounds, then over the intended footage. Examine the area around the panel: does the lower image show through, or does a rectangle travel with the title?
For a useful reply, identify the visible fault: “The panel is correct, but the surrounding canvas stays white over the dark background.” Ask the designer to inspect that region in the editable source and export again. If the outer area works but an unwanted fringe remains around the panel, report the fringe separately; these diagrams do not establish clean edges in a real file.
