Locate the reversal before changing the presentation
A permitted civilian FPV film is ready for an indoor presentation using an already installed Epson EF21. If its entrance label appears backward, first compare the same paused frame in the source preview and on the audience screen. Do not immediately mirror the master export.
The preview is reversed too
Resolve the source or playback interpretation first. A second reversal at the projector could conceal that problem for this room while leaving the delivered file wrong elsewhere.
Only the projection is reversed
Check the documented mode against the known existing placement. This difference points to the display path; it does not by itself prove which setting is wrong.
Match the mode to the existing arrangement
- Front
- An upright table setup on the audience's side of the screen.
- Front Ceiling
- An existing inverted ceiling/wall setup on that same side; top and bottom are reversed.
- Rear
- Projection through a translucent screen from its far side; left and right are reversed.
- Rear Ceiling
- Existing ceiling-mounted rear projection through a translucent screen; both image directions reverse.
These descriptions identify settings, not instructions to install, move or turn over the projector. If placement is unknown, establish it before choosing a mode.
In a fictional rehearsal, this marker is correct in the preview but mirrored on screen. Check the known arrangement and its setting, then inspect the same unchanged frame again. The useful result is matching text direction and corner positions in both views, not merely a picture that feels familiar. Record success only after that comparison actually happens.
