Avata 2 Idle Charge Is Not a Battery Health Verdict

Civil application reference · Battery handover

Yesterday's charge record cannot describe today's battery

A fictional FPV club note says “charged last week”; its keeper assumes the battery remains full.

DJI's Avata 2 controlled-discharge rules:

This managed reduction differs from a battery's ordinary chemical self-discharge.

3 days idle
About 96%
9 days idle
60%
Published milestones, not measurements or a continuous curve; no intermediate percentages are implied.

Do not turn either percentage into approval

The Avata 2 safety guide prohibits using batteries with swelling, leakage or damage, or after a crash or heavy impact. Keep such batteries out of use and contact DJI or an authorized dealer.

Correct the handover note

Previous charge recorded; current level and condition not yet checked. Do not mark this battery ready.

Record the actual observation and date separately. Matching a milestone does not establish battery health.

DJI discharge rules and Avata 2 safety guide, checked 8 September 2026. No battery tested; workshop photographs are unrelated.
