Visible imaging · Local 4K recording
Prioritize the recorded visible image
FD G110 is a visible-light camera on a three-axis mechanical gimbal. Its 8 MP sensor and local 3840 × 2160 recording make it relevant to civil drone projects that need a saved visual record of a structure, site or training flight. Choose it for that visible-camera task, then check the live-view and control arrangement separately.

Two recording modes deserve an early decision
Normal local video is listed at 3840 × 2160, with the supplied configuration sheet specifying 30 fps. When AI subject following is enabled, that sheet states that card recording switches from 4K to 720p. A project that needs both following and a 4K saved file should resolve this condition before ordering.
The distinction also helps when comparing a recorded inspection clip with the operator's live view. G110's listed network image is 1280 × 720 over RTSP using H.265; it is not described as a 4K live video feed.
Understand what digital zoom changes
The lens is a fixed 3.1 mm F2.0 design with a 105° horizontal field of view. The manufacturer describes 30x digital zoom. This enlarges or crops the image electronically rather than changing the lens focal length. For an inspection that depends on reading a small feature, provide its dimensions and the working distance so the required image can be discussed realistically.
| Useful comparison | G110 specification |
|---|---|
| Visible sensor | 8 MP; 1/2.8-inch format |
| Local video and stills | 3840 × 2160; TS video and JPG photographs |
| Live network video | 1280 × 720; RTSP / H.265 |
| Listed control | Ethernet, with virtual joystick, gesture and remote-controller channel options in the supporting interface |

Allow room for a moving camera
The listed assembly is 106 g and 61.6 × 63.8 × 84.2 mm, including its quick-release damping plate. Pitch control is −90° to +10° and yaw control is ±90°. Check clearance around the gimbal and allow for an aircraft adapter and wiring when estimating the installed load.
Match the receiving equipment
Name the controller, receiver and software that will display and control G110. A matching cable and supported interface matter alongside the image specification. The documented input is 12–80 V DC, with 245 mA working current at 12 V; the camera supply must be checked independently of the receiving device.
Decide the camera package before deployment
Suspended and inverted installation are supported through the appropriate mounting mode. The documentation lists a 22 × 34 mm fixing pattern and a supplied 32 GB FAT32 card. Include the bracket, cable and storage items you need in the enquiry; a component pictured in a manufacturer packing illustration is not a substitute for the actual quotation.
G110 provides visible images rather than a thermal channel. For night or heat-pattern inspection, first decide whether visible lighting is sufficient or whether a separately specified thermal camera is needed. A mechanical gimbal's presence also does not establish a measured stabilization accuracy for a particular aircraft.
Questions that distinguish G110
Can it save 4K while following a subject?
The supplied configuration explicitly changes card recording to 720p when AI following is on. Confirm your intended mode with the selected firmware.
Is its 30x zoom an optical lens?
No. The manufacturer specifies digital zoom with a fixed-focal-length visible lens.
What helps select the kit?
Describe the required saved images, aircraft mounting position, live display, controller and whether subject following is required. FD can then quote the camera and appropriate installation items together.
