Fixed hardware · Electronically stabilized view

A wide view without a moving three-axis assembly

FD G010 is an ultra-wide Ethernet camera using electronic image stabilization. It is a different selection from a mechanically driven camera gimbal: the enclosure remains fixed while the supported image processing provides the stabilized and electronically adjusted view. Consider it when a light camera and broad scene coverage are priorities for a civil UAV installation.

60 g camera, separate 12 g bracket

The manufacturer lists a 60 g body measuring 66 × 52 × 31.9 mm. Its mounting bracket adds 12 g. Including both listed items gives 72 g before additional wiring or aircraft-specific fixing parts; do not compare the camera-only figure with another assembly that already includes its mount.

Begin with the mounting position

The supplied arrangement uses a 40° bracket. Direct attachment is described where the vehicle already provides the required 40° installation location. This makes the available surface and camera orientation useful selection details: a small enclosure still needs a suitable rigid mounting point and an unobstructed view.

The stated electronic pitch range is −90° to 0°, with center and downward presets. It describes the controlled image view, not a physical motorized tilt mechanism. If the task requires the lens to turn sideways or move around an obstruction, compare a suitable mechanical gimbal rather than assuming this camera has the same movement.

Separate lens coverage from delivered framing

G010 uses a 5 MP, 1/2.53-inch sensor and a 2.20 mm F2.2 fisheye lens. The listed lens fields of view are 154.4° horizontal, 111.8° vertical and 204° diagonal. Those figures describe the lens; stabilization and the selected electronic view can affect the usable framing of the transmitted picture.

For an aircraft overview, training view or other civil viewing task, describe what must remain in frame and where the camera will be installed. A useful comparison is the image required at the receiving screen, rather than treating the largest diagonal lens number as a guaranteed distortion-free stabilized output.

Network picture

Ethernet output uses an RTSP H.265 stream, listed as 1280 × 720 at 30 fps. Check that the intended receiver and application support that path.

Electrical input

Input is listed as 12–80 V. The working-current figure is 100 mA at 12 V, a stated condition rather than a load figure for every possible installation.

Environment

The specification lists IP65 and an operating range of −10 to +60 °C. IP65 should not be read as an immersion rating or a promise of permanent protection under every exposure.

G010 selection questions

Is G010 a three-axis mechanical gimbal?
No. Its documented stabilization is EIS, and its pitch selection is electronic. The fixed housing and bracket serve a different installation need from a moving camera assembly.
Does a 5 MP sensor mean a 5 MP live stream?
The stated live stream is 1280 × 720 at 30 fps. Sensor pixels and transmitted-video resolution are separate specifications.
What should be specified for a quotation?
Send the aircraft mounting position, whether the 40° bracket is required, the desired view, power source, and receiver/software details. Ask FD to identify the camera, bracket and connection items in the package.
