The Skydroid G30 puts a 10.1-inch touchscreen and physical aircraft controls into one Android 14 ground station. It is a practical candidate for civil UAV inspection and survey teams whose application feels cramped on a smaller handheld display. Choose it around the information the operator needs to see together: the route, vehicle status and payload picture.

The G30 ground terminal and GR03 airborne receiver have separate jobs and specifications. A complete drone system needs the right connection at both ends; a larger screen alone does not make an existing camera or autopilot compatible.

Ground terminal: the operator workspace

The integrated screen removes the need to choose a separate tablet for the basic display role. The terminal provides the application environment, sticks, switches and on-screen information. For an inspection team, a useful control layout keeps frequently used camera and aircraft functions easy to reach without covering important telemetry.

Android 14 is a platform specification. It does not establish support for every mapping app, account service or custom software package. Send the software name early if it is essential to your project.

GR03: the aircraft connection

The GR03 manual lists two Ethernet ports, two data-link ports, SBUS, three PWM interfaces and an audio output. These are airborne receiver connections, separate from the handheld terminal's ports. Select the camera output and flight-controller protocol before choosing the harness.

A network camera and a camera offering only HDMI or analog video require different integration decisions. Give FD the exact camera model so any additional conversion equipment can be identified.

Plan the working day as well as the screen size

The G30 has a listed 20,000 mAh ground battery and manufacturer reference endurance of 6–8 hours. Actual working time depends on screen brightness, application load and connected functions. Use that figure to compare stations, then plan charging around your own work pattern. The charging interface is Type-C.

For a team that moves between survey positions, the 1.5 kg terminal deserves as much attention as display size. A larger station can be attractive at a fixed observation position; a lighter model may be preferable when the operator walks frequently. Compare the Skydroid G16 when portability is a higher priority.

Is the GR03 included with every G30 quotation?

The quotation should name the ground terminal, receiver, antennas, charger and connection accessories individually. A product photograph does not define the supplied package.

Can a large display improve camera detail?

It gives the operator more viewing area. Available detail still depends on the camera, transmitted stream and display layout; it does not change the camera's optical resolution.

Can the G30 replace my existing ground software?

Replacement depends on application and protocol support. Share the present workflow and the functions you need to keep so the proposed configuration can be assessed directly.
