Large-screen UAV ground station
The Skydroid H30 brings a 10.1-inch display, flight sticks and separate gimbal controls into one handheld station. It is a useful starting point for a drone inspection team that wants a larger map or video workspace without carrying a separate tablet. Its value is the control layout and connection options; choosing the right airborne receiver and camera remains part of the system design.

The 1920 × 1200 IPS panel gives maps, instrument panels and supported video layouts a shared display. An inspection operator can consider how much room the chosen application leaves for camera controls before specifying an external monitor. The H30 runs Android 9 and uses a Snapdragon 660 processor, so required app versions should be checked against that platform.
Alongside the main flight sticks, the H30 has additional small joysticks for gimbal operation. This layout is relevant when a civil survey or inspection task involves frequent camera repositioning. The actual pan, tilt and zoom functions depend on the connected gimbal, its control protocol and the application used; the extra controls do not make every payload compatible.
| What your project needs | Relevant H30 connection | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| A camera image on the handheld screen | R30 receiver with two network ports; supported RTSP video workflow | Camera output, stream format and network settings |
| Flight telemetry and physical control | R30 dual serial ports and SBUS output | Flight-controller protocol, harness and channel assignment |
| A display or network connection on the ground | HDMI and RJ45 interfaces on the H30 | Required display direction, application support and cable arrangement |
For example, a UAV carrying an Ethernet gimbal camera needs two distinct checks: whether its video can be displayed and whether its camera commands can be issued. A successful picture does not prove that zoom or gimbal movement is available from the handheld controls. Specify both requirements when requesting the station.

The manual lists a 1.5 kg ground unit, a 20,000 mAh battery and about five hours of operation. Those figures help compare handheld handling and charging arrangements, but they are not a promise of operating time with every screen setting or accessory. Include the expected duration of a shift and whether a support strap or ground mounting arrangement is needed.
Built-in memory is listed as 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage, and charging uses Type-C. Local video recording, removable media and network sharing should be specified by the application and camera workflow rather than assumed from storage capacity alone.
No. The H30 is the ground controller. An airborne receiver and an appropriate camera form the video path, and the quotation should identify the exact components included.
The manufacturer documents an RTSP workflow and SDK support. Provide the camera model and output details so video and control requirements can be checked separately; this is not universal compatibility.
Screen size improves the workspace available to the operator. Radio coverage is a separate property of the selected link hardware, permitted bands and installation; it cannot be inferred from the display.
Tell FD the UAV flight controller, gimbal model, video output, application name and required ground connections. We can quote the H30 with a clearly identified receiver and accessories, separating the control station from optional camera equipment.
