1. Handheld radio
The T12 supplies the sticks and auxiliary controls. Its current specification lists 12 channels and a 2.400–2.483 GHz operating band. Decide how many physical functions the aircraft and camera operator need.

SKYDROID T12 · EXTERNAL-DISPLAY DRONE RADIO
The Skydroid T12 is a 12-channel radio with a folding device holder instead of an integrated touchscreen. It is a relevant option for civil UAV projects that prefer a separate phone or tablet for the ground interface. The operator chooses the viewing device while retaining physical sticks, switches and buttons on the transmitter.
This is a different buying choice from an all-in-one Android ground station. The T12 name identifies the radio; it does not include a tablet, a built-in operating system or a camera. Specify the display device and the receiver alongside the transmitter so the package covers the actual job.
Consider the T12 when your team already has a suitable mobile device, prefers to replace the screen independently, or wants to compare several screen sizes before committing to an integrated controller. If the priority is to carry one ready viewing terminal, an integrated-screen model such as the Skydroid G12-H may be a better starting point.

A phone or tablet provides the viewing and application role. Skydroid's product diagram illustrates external devices connected with the radio; the chosen device, app and cable arrangement still need to be specified.
The receiver connects the radio system to the aircraft. Name the flight controller and its expected control/data interfaces. Select any camera or separate video hardware as explicit parts of the package.
| Feature | Published specification | What it means for your choice |
|---|---|---|
| Control channels | 12 | Allocate flight and auxiliary functions before ordering. |
| Ground battery | 4,000 mAh | The external display has its own battery and charging needs. |
| Handheld weight | 560 g | Add the phone/tablet and holder when considering total carried weight. |
| Ground dimensions | 255 × 123 × 35 mm | Allow space for the fitted device and extended holder. |
| Output terms listed by Skydroid | SBUS, PWM and I2C | Confirm the selected receiver and harness expose the required connection. |

A working radio connection does not by itself establish a working camera image. Tell FD whether you need aircraft control only, telemetry on a mobile application, or live FPV observation as well. Those requests can lead to different receiver, camera and cable selections.
The manufacturer's current material illustrates both external ground devices and an optional camera arrangement. That is useful for understanding the system, but it is not a reason to assume an arbitrary gimbal camera will plug straight in. Supply its output type and model number, especially when comparing an existing analog FPV setup with a network-video payload.
The mobile device also affects outdoor usability. Compare screen size, mounting fit and the actual application interface with the device you intend to use. The radio's battery capacity should not be added to the phone's capacity as if they were one battery specification.
No integrated display is specified. The centre holder is for a separate mobile device, which must be selected and included explicitly if required.
Check the physical mounting fit, supported application and connection method for the particular device. The presence of a holder does not establish universal phone compatibility.
Provide the autopilot, receiver and communication requirements. The package needs the right control outputs and data interfaces; aircraft size alone does not establish compatibility.
Send the drone and flight-controller models, the external phone/tablet you plan to use, and whether a camera picture is required. FD can quote the radio, selected receiver, mounting parts and relevant connection accessories as separate named items.
