MULTI-SENSOR DRONE CAMERA

Context, visible detail and heat in one payload

The SIYI ZT30 brings together a 30x optical zoom camera, a separate wide-angle camera and a 640 × 512 thermal imager on a three-axis gimbal. It is designed for projects where one visible-light view is not enough: an operator may need an overall view of a facility, a closer look at a component and a thermal view of the same inspection area.

For civil infrastructure, energy equipment and building inspection, the practical benefit is the choice of imaging channels. Select the channel that answers the question rather than treating every sensor as another zoom step. Ethernet carries video to a compatible aircraft link, with camera control available over S.Bus, UART or Ethernet UDP/TCP.

01 / ORIENTATION

Wide-angle camera

A separate 2K camera supplies a broader view. Its listed horizontal field of view is 84.5°, useful for keeping the inspection area in context when the zoom camera is tightly framed.

02 / VISIBLE DETAIL

30x optical camera

The optical zoom lens helps examine smaller visible features. SIYI also lists 180x hybrid zoom; the optical lens range remains 30x, and the two figures should be compared separately.

03 / HEAT PATTERNS

640 thermal imager

The native 640 × 512 sensor uses a fixed-focus 19 mm lens. It adds thermal information that the visible cameras cannot provide; its 2x digital zoom does not increase native sensor resolution.

Use each channel for a different inspection question

A visible close-up can help document surface condition or an equipment label. A thermal image can show differences in apparent temperature. These observations complement each other, but a thermal pattern alone does not establish why a component is warm. Interpretation depends on the inspected material, viewing conditions and the inspection method.

ZT30 supports full-image, point and box temperature-measurement modes. Choose the appropriate gain setting and measurement method for the job rather than assuming one temperature specification covers every scene. If a project requires temperature records for analysis, describe the required data and file format at the quotation stage; a colour thermal video and an exportable temperature dataset are different deliverables.

4K belongs to the visible zoom recording

The zoom camera records at up to 3840 × 2160 at 30 fps. The separate wide camera records up to 2560 × 1440 at 30 fps, while the thermal sensor is natively 640 × 512. These channel-specific figures avoid the misleading impression that every ZT30 view is 4K, or that the thermal imager records 4K thermal detail.

Plan the network connection and mounting clearance

The ZT30 video output specified by SIYI is Ethernet. A project using an HDMI-input air unit therefore needs a compatible video conversion or a different connection arrangement; Micro-HDMI should not be assumed from another SIYI camera's specification. Camera control and the live video stream also need support in the selected ground application.

The manufacturer's listed weight is 854 g including the quick-release anti-vibration claw, with overall dimensions of 134.5 × 140 × 201 mm including that assembly. Allow for moving-camera clearance and cable routing as well as the static envelope. The gimbal supports unlimited yaw and a controllable pitch range of −90° to +25°.

An external SIYI AI module is optional. It should not be treated as part of the standard ZT30 camera package when comparing quotes. The payload also incorporates a rangefinder; this page concentrates on the camera channels and civil inspection imaging rather than distance-based operation.

Specify the inspection result you need

For a ZT30 quote, send FD the aircraft's payload allowance and video-link input, then describe whether you need visible close-ups, thermal viewing, local video or temperature data for later analysis. Include the ground-control application so the camera, control cable and mounting assembly can be matched to the intended workflow.
