A compact station built around an integrated video interface
The Skydroid G11 is a 480 g handheld controller with a 4.5-inch 1920 × 1080 touchscreen, Linux operating system and 11 control channels. It suits buyers who want a small integrated interface for civil drone observation and vehicle status, with the controls and viewing functions kept together.
Its Linux platform is a key selection point. Choose the G11 for the functions documented in its supplied system; do not treat it as an Android tablet for installing an existing collection of apps. If a particular Android ground-station application is mandatory, consider an Android model instead.

Small screen, specific information
The built-in display is intended to show video and on-screen status information. A compact panel can be convenient when the operator needs a clear live view and selected telemetry without carrying a larger terminal. Decide which readings must remain visible while the camera image is open, rather than judging usability from pixel count alone.
Physical control without a large terminal
Two main sticks, auxiliary knobs and switches form the handheld control layout. The specification lists 11 channels. Allocate the required aircraft and camera functions before choosing the package, especially where both the flight-control system and payload need operator inputs.

Use an established Android app
Linux OS is a different platform. Compare an Android controller before ordering.
Share information with a separate computer
The manual documents Windows data/video sharing through the relevant ground connection.
Video support and app support are different questions
The G11 manual describes RTSP video settings, OSD information and a ground LAN interface. That gives a useful starting point for specifying a compatible camera picture. It does not mean that every IP camera, stream profile or external application will work unchanged.
For an inspection project, identify the camera's video format and the flight controller's telemetry protocol separately. A visible picture and an aircraft-status display depend on different information reaching the terminal. Naming both makes it easier to compare a complete system with a controller-only offer.

Battery and receiver choices
The G11 ground unit has a listed 10,000 mAh battery and Type-C charging. Skydroid gives a 5–6 hour endurance reference; brightness and active functions affect actual use. If the station will be shared between operators, plan the charging interval around the longest working session.
The manual describes GR01 and G12 RX receiver configurations. Their size, ports and power arrangements differ. Specify the required receiver by name, together with the aircraft-side connection cables. Receiver power figures belong to the receiver, not to the controller's charging socket.
For buyers who need a larger touchscreen and an Android environment, the 7-inch Skydroid G20 provides a useful comparison. The choice is about the application and operating interface, rather than assuming that the larger model is necessary for every drone.
Common G11 questions
Does Linux mean I can install Android APK files?
No Android-app support is implied. Confirm the supplied G11 functions and any software requirement before selecting this controller.
Is an FPV camera included?
The manufacturer describes the camera as a separate purchase. Ask for the specific camera, receiver and cables to be named in the quotation if you need a complete live-view package.
Is it a direct replacement for an existing radio?
That depends on the receiver, control outputs, telemetry and camera connections. Supply the current equipment list so the proposed G11 system can be compared function by function.
Discuss a compact drone-control package
Send FD the UAV type, autopilot, required camera view and preferred receiver. Add the controls and telemetry readings the operator uses most often. We can then specify the G11 package around a clear operating task.
