What reaches the operator?
Q20T is offered with HDMI and Ethernet/IP output arrangements. Choose the connection that matches your airborne transmitter and display rather than buying on the camera sensor's headline resolution.

The Viewpro Q20T suits a drone project that needs a visible-light zoom payload with a choice of video connection. Its three-axis gimbal carries a 20x optical camera, allowing an inspector to move between an overview and a more tightly framed feature. For selection, separate the detail you want to capture from the resolution your live link can carry.

The documentation lists local MP4 recording with 4K and 1080p options. Confirm the selected recording configuration independently of the live output format.
For a roof survey, a live image may be used to frame each section while recorded footage supports a later review of the surface. Those two jobs can have different format requirements. Ask for the camera version, live output format and local recording format together. The manufacturer's page contains both older 1080p descriptions and newer IP/4K options; this listing does not promise 4K across every output or delivered configuration.
| Selection point | Q20T detail | Meaning for your project |
|---|---|---|
| Optical framing | 20x optical zoom | Frame distant visible features with the lens |
| Camera sensor | Sony 1/2.5-inch Exmor R, 8.51MP | Visible-light imaging; not a thermal detector |
| Stabilized movement | Three-axis gimbal | Allow room for camera movement and mounting |
| Video connection | Micro HDMI / Ethernet-IP options | Identify the required output version in the quote |
| Storage | SD card; MP4 video and JPG photos | Define recording format and card requirements |
| Control | PWM / TTL, with S.Bus option described | Match the controller's available output |
A larger zoom number is helpful only when the feature remains useful on screen. For a tower, roof or other civil asset, provide the smallest feature that must be distinguished and the expected working distance. Also describe whether you need an overall condition record or a close view of one area. That makes it easier to compare Q20T with a lighter zoom payload or a different sensor combination.
Plan a mounting position with a clear field of view and enough clearance for the moving camera. At tighter framing, a careful balance of aircraft vibration, mounting and operator inputs becomes particularly important. The gimbal specification is one component of that system, not a substitute for assessing the installed aircraft.

Does the name mean every live output is 4K? No. Live output and local recording depend on the quoted version and configuration. State both required formats before ordering.
Can Q20T replace a thermal payload? This model is a visible-light camera. If the inspection depends on observing heat patterns, select an appropriate thermal or dual-sensor camera.
Must the operator use a computer? The required control route depends on your aircraft system. Choose a supported remote-control or serial connection and verify which camera functions the intended controller exposes.
