Look at the scene and its heat patterns with one UAV camera

The Viewpro A10T Pro places a 10x optical visible camera and a 19mm thermal camera on a three-axis gimbal. It is a practical candidate for drone inspections where a visible close view explains the condition of an asset and infrared imagery adds a second perspective. Decide first whether the job needs thermal observation or actual temperature measurements: those are different purchasing requirements.

Use the two sensors for different inspection questions

On a building or solar installation, the visible channel can help an operator recognize the section being examined. The thermal channel can reveal a contrasting infrared pattern in that same inspection area. A useful selection brief describes the feature, the working distance and the expected result: an overview image, a closer visible record or a measurement deliverable.

Visible optical zoom and thermal framing should be considered separately. The 10x zoom belongs to the visible camera; the infrared channel uses a fixed 19mm lens. If an inspection needs the same amount of detail from both channels, compare their fields of view and sample images at the intended distance rather than applying the EO zoom number to the thermal image.

Fit the payload to your existing video system

If your aircraft transmits HDMI video, request the corresponding camera output arrangement. For a network-based system, confirm the Ethernet stream and the ground application that will display it. Include camera commands in the same discussion: the manufacturer lists PWM, S.Bus, UART and network-control methods, but the functions available to the operator depend on how the system is integrated.

Allow for the mounting assembly, cable route and isolation components when discussing the installation. Send an aircraft drawing or clear photographs of the available position. That gives a better basis for an answer than payload capacity alone, particularly when the camera must look down past landing gear or other structure.

A10T Pro selection FAQ

Is the thermal lens also 10x optical zoom? No. The 10x optical figure describes the visible camera. This thermal configuration has a fixed 19mm lens.

Does every unit measure temperature? Radiometric thermometry is an optional configuration. Specify it when the deliverable requires numerical temperature data.

Does the camera replace the drone's FPV flight view? A steerable inspection payload and a forward flight camera serve different tasks. Plan which view the pilot uses and which view the inspection operator needs.
