YANGDA Recon Eye-K3T · Compact EO/IR
The Recon Eye-K3T puts a visible-light camera and a thermal imager on one compact three-axis gimbal. It is a practical choice when a drone inspection needs both a recognisable view of the structure and an infrared view of surface heat patterns.
Choose it for the combination of channels and compact packaging. The visible camera uses digital enlargement; it does not replace a long optical zoom lens. That distinction matters when comparing this micro gimbal with larger inspection payloads.

Use the EO image to recognise roof features, equipment housings, joints and surrounding structures. The manufacturer lists 8 MP still photographs, which are useful when the inspection report needs an ordinary visual reference alongside an infrared image.
A clear overview also helps explain where a thermal pattern occurs. A hot-looking area is much more useful to a reviewer when its position on the visible structure is understandable.
The thermal channel uses a native 640 × 512 detector with an 18 mm lens. It provides a separate image of infrared contrast for comparing areas that look similar in visible light, including equipment surfaces and roof sections.
Thermal appearance depends on surface material, reflections and viewing conditions. Quantitative temperature reporting requires a camera configuration and data workflow designed for thermometry.
The 1280 × 1024 thermal figure describes AI-enhanced output, not a native 1280 detector. Likewise, the EO camera's 40× zoom is digital. Enlarging an image can make it easier to inspect on a screen, but it does not create the optical detail captured by a longer lens.
The published storage formats are JPEG at 3840 × 2160 for still images and MP4 at 1080p30 for video. An 8 MP photograph therefore should not be read as a promise of 4K video recording. Decide whether your report mainly needs individual inspection photographs, recorded video or a live operator view before selecting the rest of the system.
The payload is one part of that system. The ground display, video link, network settings and recording location determine what the operator sees and which files are available afterwards. Camera storage resolution alone cannot describe the complete air-to-ground video path.

The Recon Eye-K3 is the existing visible-light option in our YANGDA range. K3T adds thermal imaging. Choose the dual-sensor model when infrared contrast has a useful place in the inspection; choose a visible-only camera when photographs and daytime video answer the task.
For small text, distant fittings or fine visual defects, compare an optical-zoom payload as well. Compact size and two channels are the K3T's selection advantages; very high digital magnification is not a substitute for matching the lens to the required detail.
Send FD the multirotor model, available mounting space and payload allowance, plus one example of the feature you need to see. Include your ground controller or video-link model and say whether thermal viewing, still photographs or recorded video is the priority. We can then discuss the K3T configuration against those specific needs.
