Visible optics
Optical zoom and image sensor
Read the optical magnification and focal-length range together. Keep digital crop separate, and compare original images at the same displayed size when assessing scene detail.
FPV Drones · Civil UAV imaging
Choose a stabilized visible-light camera around the detail you need, the aircraft installation and the receiving equipment. Compare genuine optical zoom separately from digital enlargement, and read the delivered video and saved-file formats rather than treating sensor pixel count as the output resolution.
Read the verified configuration and available outputs.
Visible imaging · Lens and video choices
The specifications belong to the offered model. A visible-light gimbal does not acquire thermal imaging merely because its page shares a camera template.

Receiver path and saved files
Identify HDMI or network output on the delivered version, then check stream modes and original photo or recording files. Sensor megapixels alone do not specify either result.
